Vini Tenuta Guado al Tasso

Camillo

Vermentino, Bolgheri DOC
Guado al Tasso Estate

Camillo, the new Vermentino cru, is a selection of the finest grapes of the historical vineyard of the same name, one of the parcels of the Guado al Tassso estate. Straw yellow in color with light golden highlights, the nose is characterized with fruity and floral aromas along with aromatic herbs hints. The palate is rich and full with a sweet aftertaste.

Gherardo

Bolgheri Rosato DOC
Guado al Tasso Estate

Gherardo the new rosé cru, takes its name from the farm of the same name, located near the vineyards where the grapes were picked, vineyards which are part of the Guado al Tasso estate. Tenuous pink in color with coppery highlights, on the nose the aromas are of nuts, berry fruit, and, very lightly, toasted oak. On the palate, the wine is ample and pleasurable with its notes of nuts - almonds and walnuts - first felt on the nose, given greater complexity by flavors of wild cherries, all enlivened by a savory acidity.

Guado Al Tasso

Bolgheri DOC Superiore
Guado al Tasso Estate

This is the prestigious flagship wine of the Tenuta Guado al Tasso, and fully expresses the Bolgheri terroir in all its structure, elegance and complexity. It is made with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot grapes and aged from about 14 months in new French oak barriques. It then matures for a further 10 months in the bottles.

Il Bruciato

Bolgheri DOC
Guado al Tasso Estate

Il Bruciato is the younger brother of the Guado al Tasso, with a more contemporary style. It is grown in vineyards which are high in potential, but not quite prestigious enough to make the Guado al Tasso, although the vineyard management aims at producing the highest possible quality. The wine is aged in barriques for at least 8 months and for a further 4 months in the bottles, and is both intense and very smooth.

Matarocchio

Toscana IGT
Guado al Tasso Estate

Il Matarocchio was inspired by the desire to create, at the Guado al Tasso estate, a wine that was the maximum expression both of a single grape variety and a single vineyard plot. Our vineyards are subdivided into a myriad of small parcels, each with its own characteristics, which are harvested and fermented separately every year in order to have, in the cellars, a wide range of different wines. Il Matarocchio was born precisely from one of these sites and is a wine of great elegance and depth, one which springs exclusively from its source of origin and from a remarkable vintage such as 2007.

Scalabrone

Bolgheri Rosato DOC
Guado al Tasso Estate

Bolgheri is now famous for its mouthfilling red wines, but is also traditionally known for rosé wines with pronounced aromas. The Scalabrone rosé is made with Cabernet Sau- vignon and Merlot grapes and a small percentage of Syrah. It has a very distinct per- sonality, intense colour and a fruity bouquet.

Vermentino

Bolgheri DOC
Guado al Tasso Estate

Thanks to the specific conformation of the land and the nearby sea, the Bolgheri micro- climate is extremely favourable for growing Vermentino grapes, a variety typical of the Tyrrhenian basin. This fragrant wine has a fresh, aromatic fruity note and is distinctive- ly elegant and enjoyable.

Cont'Ugo

Bolgheri DOC
Guado al Tasso Estate

This wine is an interpretation of the Bolgheri territory made with only Merlot grapes; production started with the 2011 vintage. It matures for 12 to 14 months in oak barriques before being bottled where it ages for at least 10 months. The fragrance and young, fruity exuberance are its primary characteristics. It is a deep, complex and very pleasant wine.
