The Spring was characterized by good precipitations and ideal temperatures, followed by a warm summer but without extreme temperatures and there wasn't drought, an exceptional Semptember, for the temperature range ( warm during the day, cold during the night), have favoured a very good maturation of the grapes. The harvest 2004 of the Dolcetto has a good quality and a good production in quantity ( controlled by many prunnings), not like 2003. The level of aromatic substances was good to, and at the end we have an ideal acidity.


The grapes, picked and stacked in baskets, were destemmed and before pressing had a brief skin contact in the press to ensure a better aroma extraction. The first pressing must was then decanted naturally, and fermentation started. When the development of alcohol reached 5.5% by volume the fermentation was interrupted by means of refrigeration. Then followed clarification, light filtration and bottling.

Tasting notes

Intense pale yellow in colour. On the nose: typical Moscato characteristics with hints of acacia honey and hawthorn. On the palate: full, dense, vigourous and elegant with a pleasant, armonious and fresh finish. At its best with fresh fruits (good also mixed with strawberries, peaches and forest fruits) and with pastries. To be served cool at 10°C.
